Brit Reis, MD, FAAP
Collaborating Physician & Medical Director
Pediatrics
Dr. Brit Reis serves as the Collaborating Physician and Medical Director of Ohana Care Clinic, providing the physician oversight and clinical leadership behind our rural health clinic in Hilo. A board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she brings more than two decades of pediatric experience to the children and families we care for on Hawaiʻi Island, and sees patients at our clinic about one day each month.
Dr. Reis earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City and completed both her residency and a chief residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She is the founder of Reis Pediatrics — Ohana Care Clinic’s pediatric partner practice — and stays closely involved in training the next generation of clinicians as clinical faculty at the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine and as a clinical instructor at the UH Mānoa Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing and the Hawaiʻi Pacific University School of Nursing. Honolulu Magazine has recognized her as a Top Doctor on Oʻahu.
As Medical Director, Dr. Reis helps ensure that the care delivered across our pediatric, primary care, and behavioral health teams meets the highest clinical standards. Throughout her career, her focus has been on partnering with families — helping parents feel informed, confident, and supported in caring for their keiki.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Reis enjoys surfing, hiking, running, and Pilates. She and her husband, Jon, have two grown children.
